Question Looking at buying an Octavia VRS

Hi,

Just after a bit of advice if anyone has the time.
I'm looking at buying an Octavia VRS, & I was wondering what is the maximum mileage realistically to settle for?
Will the engines do space-ship mileage without problems or is it best to get a low mileage car?
Any info gratefully received.

The engine will go on and on... I sold my previous 51 plate Octy with 130K miles and it is still going (a year and a half later).

If the mileage is high make sure its fully serviced, basically they will go on &on & on, as long as you treat them right.

Re: Looking at buying an Octavia VRS

Its not the engine really that suffers if its got complete history its all the other bits that go i.e central lock control unit, maf sensors, coil packs abs sensors, notchy gearboxes and all the other fault codes that pop up. see the Maintenance/ ask tech sections.

Its a VolksWagon with a Skoda badge so vw have probs so will unfortunatlly the Skoda. The good news is there cheaper than VW golf 4 ect and built as good if not better with better handling as std.
