Lots of things wrong with the car.

My car has spent the morning with a former AMD tech. (Andy) in order to try and find why I have mystery klonks, bangs, whines and rattles. SHopping list so far is:

Lower arms
Ball joints
Steering arms

The diff is also whining

Re: Lots of things wrong with the car.

Bummer.

My feeling is that it really is worthwhile keeping on top of these things, especially if you intend to keep the car.

Mine is maintained regardless of expense...

Think how nice it will be when its all done though.

Is SWMBO still happy to pay for all the work? S2000 is sounding very tempting

Re: Lots of things wrong with the car.

After owning many Citroens I view them a bit like a disposable camera - good when new, but after a few flashy moves, it's near the end of it's life.

I read on an Audi site that opinions of AmD are dropping, as someone notable left, and people had seen "custom" remaps done in half an hour, spent too long waiting for work to start on their cars, and problems not being resolved soon enough, with many visits required. I mention this as a complete neutral - I have not had a remap, don't intend to get one, and don't know AmD at all myself, I just know that people who had sworn by them over many years are considering looking elsewhere. I can post the link I read if it's of interest.
