| Low Pitched Noise My Octavia Mk 1 RS has started to make a low-pitched noise which gets higher in pitch as I get faster. It does not seem like tyre noise and is not rev related but speed related. any ideas? regs Neil.

| Re: Low Pitched Noise I would imagine wheel bearing(s). Does it seem to be coming from 1 side or area in particular? Does it change, get worse/better going round corners, roundabouts etc?

| Re: Low Pitched Noise It was the rear wheel bearings. There was a minimum of noise at low speed, but it got noisy over 30 mph and very noticable over 50mph. The noise was directly road speed related and not engine speed related. The noise didn't change much when cornering and I suspect this is because it was the rear wheel bearings and not the front. It was very difficult to pin point where the noise was coming from driving along with the windows open. Thanks for the help. regs Neil.
