Lowered Oct vRS - Poly or OE bushes

Hello,

Had my Octy vRS lowered with a Jamex Coilover kit. The car is fast approaching 70000 miles, Jamex kit fitted at 63000 miles.

I am sure that some of the bushes are getting a bit tired and was thinking about replacing the whole lot with poly ones. Anybody got any experience of these - good or bad.

Although I suspect OE will be cheaper and more comfortable I get the impression that they don't tend to last to long, particulalry ARB ones.

Is it worth getting poly ones with a lowered car or will they squeak and make the ride too harsh?

Cheers,

Darren

OT, how have you found the Jamex kit, seems very cheap.

Re: Lowered Oct vRS - Poly or OE bushes

Hi Darren,

I had all the bushes swapped to the powerflex ones and I persoanlly think its great. Ive always used their products on previous cars and as with the octy this time around Ive found the car just seems to feel slightly 'crisper' if that makes sense. Turn in and general feel for what the wheels are doing is heightened slightly.

Never had a problem with their products either.

As a side note, the dog bone mount will increase noise and vibration slightly - I have also found this but still feel its acceptable.
