Milltek exhaust for vRS

Morning all,

The exhaust on my octavia has been causing problems since I picked the car up so I've decided to stop messing around with it and just get a new one! I would like a Milltek but have heard mixed reviews about the fit. Has anyone got any first hand experience? Also a picture of one on a car would be good!
Thanks
Phil

Also consider the complete Blueflame system, terrific piece of kit.

What is the sound like on these two? I don't want a loude chavvy exhaust, just subtle (similar to standard)

Re: Milltek exhaust for vRS

If you want it quiet go for the Milltek with the resonated mid section.... i happen to have one of these for sale at the mo
Fitting can be quite a pain but once fitted should give you years of enjoyment

Going to Trax? you can listen to mine without the resonated silencer

So presumably you have experience of both on the same car? How much difference does the resonator really make? Is it only different under load, or is it noisier in cruising conditions as well? (I'm only bothered about how noisy it appears inside the car, not so bothered about outside )

Which bit do you have for sale? The whole lot or just the mid section? If its the whole lot I might be interested if you could give more details. I'm not going to trax

Re: Milltek exhaust for vRS

I have a Miltec cat on mine and is great, but with supersrint mid and rear even better and give a great note (not intrusive) about 3.5k and above with no differance on a motorway cruise at 80 to original unlike those flaming other systems

sorry no pics but goto www.supersprint.com and look up racing systems

Re: Milltek exhaust for vRS

As Gerry says the Blueflame exhaust is an awesome piece of kit

I have one on my car - it sounds amazing

When driving normally the sound is no louder than the standard system but it really comes into its own above 3000rpm when the engine is under heavy load (i.e. when accelerating)

To quote some mates: "Around town she purrs, when you boot it she really growls "
