| Misfire/stutter after high revs? Recently my Octy 1.8t has developed an odd fault. After revving between 4.5-5.5 k the engine seems to stutter (not sure if is is a misfire or not) I get rough running at all revs until the car has been stopped and left for a short while. It then runs as normal, smooth as anything. The car is a standard 1.8t petrol Elegance. I have done a search on the site but none the wiser. No fault codes have appeared when it was recently checked over by the RAC after a coil packed up. (other than the coil of course). Any ideas? Cheers |

| Re: Misfire/stutter after high revs? Similar to how mine runs sometimes. I'v put it down to a dodgy MAF sensor but i think i'll wait untill i get it remapped and change it at the same time. Darren |

| Re: Misfire/stutter after high revs? Had a similar occurrence with my 1.8t as well. It came after a prolonged period slow driving, probably plug fouling. After a period of fast driving it runs as normal |

| Re: Misfire/stutter after high revs? I would have thought best check the plugs first. Is it the same as when you have a coil pack go?

| Re: Misfire/stutter after high revs? Try re-gaping your plugs to 6.5.
