| Re: Mk1 rear lights wiring colour code If you're fitting a towbar then all you need is a 12V tester probe and turn the light in question on and probe the plug that goes to the light. You don't say what year the car is, if its late MK1 it could be can-bus and you need to be carefull if your not going to cause problems ![]() |

| Re: Mk1 rear lights wiring colour code http://http://www.witter-towbars.co....les/i_fit.aspx Somewhere here you should find the socket wiring diagram, trace the wires that correspond with the pin numbers on the socket and record the wiring colours. Switch your lights on in turn and record which wire does what by probing the light plugs and record the colours. I always solder, scotchlocks are asking for trouble in the future. Find out first if your Octy is can-bus, it can lead to allsorts of problems! ![]() |
