Re: MPG--What are you seeing on you vRS

Yea, sounds about right.

35-43mpg on a 60-80mph run, as little as 7-8mpg hooning it.

Average about 30-32, 40+ on a run, worst ever: 6mpg from Bradfrd to Leeds in rush hour (took 90 minutes to do 12 miles)
Mine's remapped by the way.

Re: MPG--What are you seeing on you vRS

I can handle 38 - 40mpg any day - most of my drive is a 50 / 60mph A Road or Motorway.

Re: MPG--What are you seeing on you vRS

On a full journey consisting of mainly motorways and a few A-roads i'm generally seeing an average of 33mpg.

But i do hoon it on the motorway so i recon i could improve it if i was less impatient.

On the current mpg gauge i see about 25mpg when speeding on the motorway (105ish), but when i drop down to 70mph it goes up to around 40mpg.

Re: MPG--What are you seeing on you vRS

My long term average is 32 mpg and that includes alot of 2.5 mile trips to work and back.

On a decent a/b road run not going over 70 I can see high 30's to 40.

Re: MPG--What are you seeing on you vRS

first half hour of my commute around 35-37 (motorway) then last 15mins usally drops to about 28mpg all roundabouts and short sprints between them.

going to manchester and back last weekend avg about 35 with fast pace up there and easy going on way back.

can get about 40 on long run if im patient. ill see what i get on way to oban this xmas. but so far its the same as my old vectra and the tanks smaller. (why did they put such a small tank in!)

Re: MPG--What are you seeing on you vRS

I know. It does hurt but i only ever do small journeys, shopping etc... I only use the car for about 3000miles a year so dont mind, especially as when i do drive it (and it gets chance to warm up) i do drive it Briskly

Kind Regards

Garry

Re: MPG--What are you seeing on you vRS

depends were you live

i get 32 mpg going to work (4 miles)
and get 26 on way back
its downhill to graft and uphill back

did do a 500 miles trip on full tank £45 at a steady 80 -90 which i thout was impressive compared to my old s60 t5 which did 200 miles on a run on a £55 tank
and £30 to 120 miles round and about

wish i still had it now instead of this rebadged sputtering german piece of @@@t

Re: MPG--What are you seeing on you vRS

Mines gone down lately, got a promotion and am based somewhere else now.

So instead of 60mph + 80mph roads I have alot more 40s/30s and two massive hills with dual carrageways which I just can't help but floor it up!!!!

Especially when someone is right on my bumper thinking he can take the mighty skoda!
