| My Octavia just got home tonight, didnt think my car was going to make it... about a month ago my waterpump pretty much ****ed up, it as leaking water faster than i could fill the tank, so it got a new pump and all was fine for a few weeks then last week the warning lack of water light came on. at first i thought hmm thats not good but it hadnt used a lot so thought maybe its got a slight leak so checked, couldnt see anything, filled it back up and hoped it would be fine. two days later the warning light came back on... alarm bells ring, somethings definetly not right, have a more in depth check, seems the head gaskets a bit worse for wear, given the car has only just turned 45k miles i reckon this must have been caused during the previous waterpump issue, the last couple of days its been going through a fair amount of water, and on my ay home tonight took a bit of effort to start up aswell as making some noises i'd rather i didnt hear coming from beneath my bonnet, on driving off huge clouds of white smoke belched out the back, eventually clearing through and drove home ok, although sounds pretty rough on idle. bottom line is i cant get this fixed til the middle of the week and rely on my car to get me from A to B or C at any given time, so just hoping it lasts the next few days without something going seriously wrong. just had to have a wee rant. |

| Re: My Octavia i wouldn't drive it , you'll end up doing more damage to it , which could lead to you having to purchase a new head or worse due to overheating damage
