N75 / DV / Lights

Hi guys,

Few questions!!

Ok... where can I get a new N75 from cheap to get fitted? I'm guessing the dealer will charge more.

I have a Stratmosphere DV fitted, the pipe from the top looks like it has melted a bit where it touches the top of the engine cover and it's pretty sticky. Could this cause any problems? I don't think the pipe has gone through, but it's pretty flat now.

I have a turbo surge / hesitation when part throttle at 2500-3000 revs so trying to get it sorted.

Also since I installed my sub, when it hits the low notes the lights dim just that little bit. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance

You can get the N75 from vagparts. I assume it's cheaper than the dealer but I haven't checked, so do so before you buy

With regards to the sub, I'm not really into that sort of thing so I'm not certain, but I think people put in a power cap' to stop lights dimming and help the sub reach extreme notes.

Cool, I will check vagparts- thanks.

It's not that noticeable to be honest, I don't have the sub up that loud... mainly have it to take the stress off the speakers and stop all the distortion! (I'm not a boy racer/town lapper!!).

Re: N75 / DV / Lights

Vag-parts are like £35+ vat there seems to be loads of the same model with different part numbers.

Is there any particular one I need?

Going to replace that and the top pipe from the DV valve and see if that sorts out my hesitation/surging!

Re: N75 / DV / Lights

Some say that the j version helps with surges after remap.I would stick to the standard f version though as i think most people on this forum would. If its good enough for a 225 bhp audi TT its good enough for me.
