new clutch in octy vrs

hi guys,
I've just had to have a new clutch in my octy vrs and its only done 40k. coming home from work 2 weeks ago and no drive at all, no warning nothing. and its not cheap to replace. £197.00 clutch kit. genuine skoda part
had it done at my mates garage. total cost for job including labour and the dreaded V.A.T £467.00. how steeps that, he had to pick me up off the floor. the following week i had new brake pads all 4 corners EBC greens £75.00 for the fronts £45.00 for the rears and £30.00 to have them fitted. now i have a engine management light on the dash. had it checked out and found its the air flow sensor that needs replacing so there's another £100. it's all or nothing, one thing goes wrong , then its something else.

Ouch, £467 for a new clutch - thats some wallet damage

Hope my clutch holds out then - my vRS has covered almost 42000 miles

Hopefully your car will be as good as new again soon

hopefully it will once ive got the airflow sensor sorted out and it's running 100% i'll be happy at first i thought it was the dumpvalve i had fitted but it's turned out to be the airflow sensor so that's pleased me in a way as i had taken it off an put the original back in. so i'll get that back in this weekend and get its sorted out by the end of next week. when i can get it in the garage to have it scanned and the sensor sorted out.
