New grille for Mk1 Octavia vRS

Hoping someone can help me with some info here...

Having (unwittingly) introduced an airborne partridge to the front of my car at 60mph, I now need a replacement grille for my Octavia vRS

I didn't realise at first, but the little devil has also taken off my vRS badge. Maybe now's the time to switch to the new style logo from the Mk2 Octavia

Can anyone tell me part numbers and prices for these parts (Mk1 vRS grille + Mk2 vRS grille badge) from a main Skoda dealer ?

The MK2 badge is around £6 including vat. It comes with the backing plate too. Sorry I don't have a part number.

Thanks guys. Just need part number/rough price estimate for the Mk1 grille now.

In general, does the vRS grille differ at all from the one on any other model (e.g. L&K) ?

I'm 99.9% sure it's identical to any other facelift mk1 but I would wait untill someone in the know can confirm that.

Well that is one considerate bird! He left your headlights, bodywork and even the chrome surround in tact. I guess he could have chosen the other side and left your vRS badge in tact but I'm sure he did his best!

I hit a fairly large bird (pigeon I think) the other morning on the way to work - I was accelerating at about 60-70 and it obviously tried to perform the usual up and away move from whatever it was sniffing in the road but was too slow (or I was too quick

).
Luckily for me it hit the windscreen left hand side about half way up and left a nice grey smear to the top, one hell of a thud but no blood or damage to my car thank god

Needless to say there was some slightly squashed remains on the road later that day so I guess I probably knocked his internals for six and someone else finished the job off

.
Never realised a bird strike could do that much damage though, you must've hit it good and proper!

hi mate just looked at your pics unlucky i know but not all bad will you sell me the broken grille i need the chrome insert thats of course if not damaged i know the pre face lift grille wont fit yours and also the vrs grille is the same as a standard one as i have recently changed the front end of my octavia to look like a vrs which was a t reg let us know about the grill and also it may be cheaper than the dealer try garage equipment, skoda parts, leister hot air tools, workshop equipment, ravaglioli cheers
