Newbie owner of vRS Octy

hi all ..
Finally got meself a vRS octavia yellow 02 last week from private .. a lovely car to drive and a beast when push it ! but i take my take my time gettin used to it .

Right hope u guys help me out here ... 2 thing i having problem which i detected this am is when start the baby up and all i hear was small short noise like grinding then stop! so i did it everytime start up grinding then stop ! but when driving for while then return to my home place so i try it again this time slightly grindin .. right have i got a big problem here if have you had this experience before ?

Am planning to take it my local skoda to see if they find the faults

other things is front headlight level adjustment my driver side stay high and left side move up and down .. is that normal or faulty ? wasn't sure it ment to be that way ?

hi again..
Took my vRS to my local dealer Derek slack skoda in middlesbrough to find out noise coming from engine bay when start it up and detect it straight away! Turn out to be starter motor faults . book in it for repair this monday for 169 quid for new starter motor include fitting .

mine makes the starter motor noise from time to time... can't imagine its doing alot of damage.... ill replace it when it stops starting the car lol

Mine makes that noise as well, although not as much now since i had it serviced last week.

how do all ..
Took my octy in this am for new starter motor fit in to solve the noise !!
just pick up my motor hour ago and the noise gone ! yippee had a look into engine bay and spankin new starter motor nice .

other thing my driver side headlight makin noise ! think the light adjustment motor does't sound good ! so any idea can repairable or more £££ to pay for new headlight

Starter motors making a high pitch squeal should be replaced before too long, as they can stay engaged and damage a flywheel. Best to just get it done.
Usually they only make this squeal when cold, and demonstrating problem to a dealer may mean leaving car with them so they can hear it start from cold.
