Re: No Splines in Locking Wheel Nut

Chris Ellis is quite well versed at removing them, might be worth dropping him a PM.

Re: No Splines in Locking Wheel Nut

A gator grip socket might work, failing that, weld a nut on to it.

Re: No Splines in Locking Wheel Nut

Don't think the Gator would work as the splines are inside the nut and the outside of the nut is round? But then I don't have a Gator and have never used one (but I have seen a picture of one)

Re: No Splines in Locking Wheel Nut

Not all of the Skoda locknuts are splined. Mine is a non-standard size hex. Also, the dealers have a set of masters if you've lost the key.

Re: No Splines in Locking Wheel Nut

Other option (However a bit more brutal) is to hammer a socket over the end and rathcet that bad boy off!

Or get someone to drill it off
