Question oct vrs

i need some help does the vrs have 1 or 2 guards under the engine mine has just been in the dealers and now i only have 1 but i am sure there should be 2 mine is a 52 plate car could some one check theres and let me know

My 53 reg, vrs has only one gaurd fitted.

It does look like a second gaurd should be fitted.....with all the fixing holes etc being present

If it should have a second gaurd fitted.....then someone will be in for it..... if it has been binned at first or second service

The vRS undersheild is in three bits, two sides and one small one at the front.

I was wondering about this myself as the front part of the guard does have fixing holes for another section directly underneath the engine, I was worried the previous owner had a mishap and torn it off on something...

the fixings are IIRC for the steel sump guard you can buy from the dealers. cant remember the price though.

Some of the TDi people were looking at these (me included) and I think it was going to be around the £150 mark inc fitting (that was with a 10 person discount), but the diesel needs an extra sound deadening guard.

i have been told the diesel's have less guards than the petrols so this is probably the front guard mine has already... this could be total cobblers though.
