18s should be no problem.
19s will fit with very thin tyres though some people did get rubbing problems.

you can run 19's but not ideally on lowered suspension unless its raised slightly at the back and stiff so you dont get any roll or compression when you have passengers.

to be honest i'd stick with 18's

18's here(225/40 tyres) no problem (mind you not lowered as yet)

you should be ok lowering it over the 18's... i'm going on MonkeyBoys old vRS that had 19inch R8 alloys on KW coilovers and rubbed cause he had it too low on the rears.

Leeboy, got a set of 19's for sale from my octy. They are 19" tsw pace,35 offset, 215/35 toyos. Both wheels and tyres in good condition. never rubbed on my car and mine's low. Ł600 ono, cost Ł1200. if you're interested pm me.
