| Re: octavia brake pads Pads, do them ASAP to save possible damage to your Discs. At the same time you would want to check your disks as you may need to replace these too. Which Octavia do you have. I asked the question a while ago for FSIII brakes, and these are really easy to change the pads on. HTH

| Re: octavia brake pads They are dead easy to change - take about 30 minutes. Where are you based?

| Re: octavia brake pads There is a Haynes manual for the Octavia. The VW Golf manual that covers the same year as your car will also cover this. The wear indicator is on the nearside front hub, inner pad. One our Octavia the offside inner pad was down to the metal by the time the wear indicator came on. So, based on my experience I'd advise you to change them ASAP. |

| Re: octavia brake pads Ohhh.... I had a quick glance at mine (2001 Elegance) and assumed it did not have a wear indicator.... I'll have a closer look next time I am under the car (ie. next weekend to check the state of my air con :-( ) |
