Question octavia engine oil

tell me am i thick ive read the owners manual for the octavia but cant find any reference to what is the recomended oils to use in the diesel engine its a 110bhp 02 plate any ideas where i will find this in fo

is there a difference a buddy a VW man is servicing it for me he tells me its a super thin oil for this engine i would tend to service it anually as i only cover about 8000 a year

Its a non PD engine the 110. So if you are aiming for fixed servicing (10k or annual) then a good quality 10w40 oil will be fine. The silver Quantum oil that VAG dealers sell is a cracking semi synthetic and pretty cheap aswell.
