I have to say its the longest time I've ever known someone to look at a car - they arrived at 3pm, and eventually drove off about 5pm. There were some moans about the bodywork damage, but it was so slight it didn't really detract their admiration of the way the engine started up after 3 weeks being stationary, and the little drive he got. He said it drove nice. I think they got one hell of a bargain, but for me this is another bit of chalk on the wall of good ebay purchases.

I won't mind saying now, that I bought that car with a tired engine which was running REALLY rough! £800 got me the car. My mate bought and fitted the cambelt, water pump, brake pads. I bought the speaker cover, new screen... and the car. The shared profit from this venture has netted me about £700 clear profit so that's almost paid for this years car insurance renewal.

I hope you sorted out the V5, as there are a load of problems in London with people buying cars, not regestering the change with the DVLA and then the previous owners geting stung with fines from speed cameras and car tax.

Not half - I got section 10 filled out in full and given to new owner, and the bit I send to DVLA filled in exactly the same and both of us signed the red bit. The envelope is being sent to the DVLA in the morning!

Jason, keep some photocopies of this as proof you've filled them up, not unheard of for them to go missing at the DVLA...

Good price though.

The DVLA now send you a letter when they receive the V5, so if the new owner doesn't register it, you've got some proof.
