| octavia head unit wont light up! Hi, just picked up my new vrs and very happy with it overall. Only problem I have is that the radio doesn't light up so you can't see it at night. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I can't find anything on the forum! cheers J |

| Re: octavia head unit wont light up! i had the same problem with mine (standard) i took it out checked the connections and all seemed ok, i think something had blown inside and seen as how it was a sealed unit i thought id do more damge than good so i replaced it withan aftermarket one. i know it dosnt help but at least your not alone on this one

| Re: octavia head unit wont light up! Hi, If this is the standard Symphony head unit then this is a common problem. Same happened with mine, didn't light up or switch itself on and off with the ignition. There are settings available, I think you need to keep the TP button pressed to access the features, the manual will tell you. The other cause can be due to the ecu where the settigs need to be changed. My local dealer sorted it when my car was serviced. If you search the forums you will find the answers!! |
