I dont no wot a CDL is & its an 02 octy with a seperate fob with the two buttons on it.big button operates the alarm/central locking

Mine has 2 buttons; one to lock and unlock the doors. Dont know what else there is.

Seperate fob?? On my 2001 Elegance the key is part of the fob, and on that I just have 2 buttons - lock and unlock.

I am sure I have posted a picture of mine on here before....

There is bit in the middle, but that is not a button.

That sounds more like an aftermarket central locking fob.

Does the car beep when you arm it? If so pressing the other smaller button may put the car into 'silent' lock mode.

I have the dealer-fitted Scorpion alarm from the accessories brochure. It comes with a separate fob.

Big button - lock/arm/auto-close windows, and also to unlock/disarm

Small button - stand next to your car and press it. Press it again to stop the noise
