| Re: Octavia TDI Cambelt Change - how to? You can find instructions in the Haynes Manual for the Octavia. The job is rated as difficult, ie suitable for an experienced DIY mechanic.

I would take it to your local skoda/vw dealer or specialist as when the older tdi engine belt needs replacing a process called dynamic timing should be carried out after replacement .This makes sure the pump timing is 100% correct .Not many people do this as a result of performance lose. You need as far as i know vas5051 or other older vw diagnosis equipment to carry this out. hope this helps! |
