Octavia TDI dont start. My Octavia Diesel TDI will not start. The fuel pump do not get the 12 voltwhen turning the key. Are there any fuse for this? All indikators in the dashboard are normal.

Re: Octavia TDI dont start. I'm fairly sure there is a fuse for the ECU, which would lead to no turning over if it's blown. Open the driver's door, and the bit of the dash that is exposed by opening the door you can prise this off. There should be a little fuse removal tool. Take the fuses out and have a look. It should be fairly obvious. Although there could be a problem in the starting circuit. How do you measure the voltage to the pump?

Re: Octavia TDI dont start. You seem to know what youre doing. Should you really force 12v into the pump without the help of the ECU? The fuses are easy to look at. It should not take you longer than a minute or two to find a broken one. Just make sure you put them back in the same place!

Re: Octavia TDI dont start. Relay 109 the X relay for the electrics, or try freeing the anti shudder valve as this can stick blocking air into the engine

Re: Octavia TDI dont start. Identify the relevant fuse, and replace it, even if it looks ok. It's rare, but not impossible for a blown fuse to look ok, but not be capable of carrying current.
