| Octavia vRS Brake & Pad Changing I previously posted a thread on help with my brake change, disks are quite low so decided to to change pads and discs all round. Had some helpful hints from some Briskodians. Ive now nearly got all of the bits together for my brake change. WINDING PISTON TOOL FRONT PADS WITH SENSOR REAR PADS FRONT DISCS REAR DISKS NEW REAR GUIDE PIN BOLTS ? not sure if i need new ones ? NEW DISC LOCATING SCREWS ? not sure if i need new ones ?? BRAKE CLEANER COPPER GREASE TORQUE WRENCH 15mm WRENCH HAYNES MANUAL 13mm WRENCH 7mm ALLEN KEY 17mm RACHET G-CLAMP SYRINGE SOFT MALLET TROLLEY JACK AND SUPPORTS BLUE ROLL STRING DISPOSABLE MASK LATEX GLOVES BRAKE BLEEDING KIT This list might be over the top, but its going to be my first attempt at a brake change, Dont really want to pay a garage to do it this time round as on all my previous cars. Can anyone think of anything else im going to need or not need? Oh! and is it best to open the bleed screws when winding back the piston or can you get away without doing this ? Matt.

| Re: Octavia vRS Brake & Pad Changing You get new bolts for the rear calipers with new pads. Dont normally need new ones, top tip give the screws a hearty tap with a hammer before tryng to undo it, this usually loosens it off a bit.
