| Octavia VRS - service & Rad Hi all I'm still fairly new to the Oct vRS game, so please bear with me here. I read many threads regarding variable servicing and that the oil differs depending on the servicing schedule. I have an 03 vRS and have no idea what oil to top up with...any advice? I have searched and found some detail but am still confused with the variable thing!! Is the vRS variable or not and if either is possible how do I tell........hope that lot makes sense as I'm confused already!! Next question - I've noticed that the radiator is very exposed via the front grill and spoiler grill, are these cars prone to rad damage or do people tend to change/alter the grilling? Any advice greatly appreciated Lance |

| Re: Octavia VRS - service & Rad Have a look at the car's Service Record and see what the dealer has written in the Next Service box. If the next service is shown as being needed in 10,000 miles/12 months then your car is on fixed servicing. If on variable it should say so. For variable service intervals you must to use an oil which meets spec VW 503 00 oil, eg Castrol SLX LongLife 2.
