|  octy 1.4 i recently bought a 1.4 16v engined octy and am now in dire straits . the thing wouldn't pull the skin off rice pud. i was told by a few 'well wishers' power can be increased by some mods , is this true what are the mods how much ???? as this is my first skoda i dont want the affair to end badly because i wait in earnest to test the vrs series 2 with a view to purchase same on arrival in ireland but with no sign of release in the immediate future am stuck with this lethargic lump on my drive. help the party go on please |

| You're not going to see great gains...you could probably get about 15bhp for around £1k by changing induction/exhuast, and getting some engine cams... You could also try putting smaller wheels on, wide heavy 17" alloys won't be helping it any... Rob.

| many thanx i think really cant afford to change at the moment lux like i will just have to suffer in silence mine will just have to be all show and no go badge-less grill, light brows , volvo s40 sharkfin aeriel, 17s twin outlet jetex exhaust, vrs rear spoiler all in corrida red |
