A new one for a vRS is around £580, and have you got your own VAG-COM software (and expertise) to do whatever recoding is necessary?.

sorry i should have explained, currently i have had my car remapped but when i took it home (3.5 hour drive) the ecu through up a fault code even though there is not fault. i took it to skoda they got rid of the code but now the car feels standard.so if i go back to jabba get the ecu re programmed then the fault appers again i have the problem of a trip back to jabba.
i need my car for work so i cant be doing this all the time a so jabba siad just send back the ecu. if u had two ecu's then i can keep my car on the road at all times. and just keep sending it back if i have too.

does this sound viable or am i in cloud kookoo?

Has your dealer gone and wiped the remap off the ECU?

Re: Octy ecu

hi
could i ask what the fault was on your car as I had mine done at reddot in watford and mine got a fault for the mapped engine temp.

ive been back 3 time since to get sorted.
1st they lowwered the settings but it didnt work then they returned to stnd.

went back on friday to get a new program and got all the way to cardiff, stopped the car for a few hr and now it wont fire up, only turnover.
rac says the ecu is buggered.

is there any similarity mate?
