Talking The Octy has been back to Star Performance!

Took the Octy back to Star Performance today

Had fitted a Milltek hi-flow downpipe and cat and a full Supersprint exhaust.

Jim then tweaked the mapping

The results?

231 bhp @ 5430 rpm

and.......................

251 lbf-ft @ 3400 rpm

It goes like a feckin rocket That's an increase of 15 bhp and 27 lbf-ft on what it was before. It feels a lot faster than before, with enormous mid-range grunt. Boot it in 5th at 75 mph and you can feel the nose lift. The traction control will be working overtime!

What is limiting the power now is the intercooler - at the end of the dyno run the intake temperatures were up at 61 C

I need a BFOFMIC

And it sounds awesome - not loud, just beefy

I can see you falling down that slippery slope toward me! And I ain't gonna catch you - you can just keeping on damn well falling!

Nice figures now. I'm hoping to be up above 230hp pretty soon, but not until late Spring(ish)

Got some plans in the next couple of weeks though that "might" help a bit

It is a slippery slope and it would appear you are well and truly on it Alan.

What power you up to so far J?

Talking Re: The Octy has been back to Star Performance!

Another nice side effect of the Supersprint exhaust is that it looks exactly the same as the standard one. Outwardly, my car looks absolutely bog standard

Nice figures Alan, I saw your car surrounded by them pesky starlets. I did see a starlet doing 320bhp on the rollers

Good results from a tweek. Mine goes in a week on Monday for a tweek. Hopefully no peskey starlets buzzing around.
Oh and may have been zapped by fifes finest at the t junction.

Re: The Octy has been back to Star Performance!

sweet
bet your wallet is hurting now.

My last trip there cost me 900 quid and got no extra power just spanky new suspension (all of it) on the Audi.

will have to take Fabia down see how many pennies itll take to lower it.
