odd electronic 'beep' I've only had my Octavia TDi for a couple of weeks and it may have had this 'feature' from when I got it, but I've only just noticed it today. From somewhere around the dashboard area there is a fairly quiet but very regular (c every 30 seconds) electronic noise cosnsiting of a long then short note (morse code 'dash dot') It's there even when the key is out of the ignition. Everything works fine and there are no warning lights. Anybody got any ideas? thanks

Re: odd electronic 'beep' Police radio? On a serious note, I think some of the radio/cd players beep every few seconds when the incorrect code has been entered. I've never heard one so cannot compair the noise to the description you have given but it may be worth checking it out.

Re: odd electronic 'beep' thanks for that; you may be right. When I collected the car the Skoda radio was defunct so they put in a VW unit. This seems to work fine, but the code might be an issue.
