| I have an 02 TDI 110 Octavia and on Sunday I stripped my turbo due to a long running problem with over boost (turbo was completely caked in soot). While doing this I noticed quite a bit of oil in the air intake, coming from the return pipe that is on top of the engine. I removed the pipe \valve from the engine to clean it and noticed that the chamber is hollow. All my previous cars have had something like this but they all had metal gauze in them to prevent too much oil getting into the intake. Should there be gauze or some sort of filling in the chamber or is it supposed to be like this? Cheers Michael Edited due to terrible spelling. Last edited by L&K TDI; 09-05-2006 at 14:49. |
