| Over fuelling after Remap ?? Hi guys/gals, should start by saying hello to you all as im a newbie. I own a Octy 1 VRS (2001) with 50,000 miles, which Ive just had remapped by more-bhp.com following quite a few good reports. Jason is a nice bloke and knows his stuff, he quotes returns from the remap of approx +40bhp and +70NM of torque. I must say the car is totally transformed, boosting longer and harder, in fact much harder !! Im extremely happy with the gains, although, will get it on the rollers asap to get a true figure. The worry is that this week Ive had the car mot'd and it just scraped through on emmissions. Figures last year....... Fast Idle test CO - 0.01 Natural Idle CO - 0.01 Probarbly running a bit lean.... THIS YEAR !! Fast Idle test 0.20 Natural Idle 0.25 While Im happy a pass is a pass, just wondered what peoples thoughts are ?? Maybe a problem in that my garage is only 1/2 mile down the road, so car went first thing in morning from cold for test, may have needed a bit of a run to clear its throat !

| Re: Over fuelling after Remap ?? A properly remapped car will have no difference in emissions on idle / fast idle. The 1.8T is remapped primarily be increasing boost, and fuelling from about 2.5K rpm, below that it should be pretty much standard. therefore either the map is not a good one, or the cat is failing.

| Re: Over fuelling after Remap ?? Another thought, was it mot'd at the same station each time.

The difference your seeing is probably down to the distance travelled as already suggested by mannyo when my tests are due i always go for a good few miles warm up drive then thrash to the testing station it makes a big difference
