Re: pannel filter

Green Filter purely because they tend not to put too much oil in the filter.

Re: pannel filter

What purpose does the oil on the filter serve?

Would it work without any on it at all?

The oil is to catch finite particles which the cotton gauze on it's own won't.

For filtration properties paper is actually the best but it's not freer flowing compared to cotton gauze.
