Part Number Please!!!

Hi there,

Can anyone confirm a part number for me please?

The part(s) in question is the two flexible fuel pipes that go from the fuel filter to/from the injection pump. (the ones that get the air leak leading to cold start problems!)

Car details are a 2001 (51) Octy Tdi Elegance (110bhp) with ASV engine code.

I did ask the dealer over the phone, but he wasn't sure exactly what part i needed.

Number he gave was 1J0 130307R, but at £40 i'd rather be sure its right before i order it!

Any help will be much apreciated.

Re: Part Number Please!!!

I have it down as "1 set of fuel pipes" - 1J0 130 307 B - now the B and R probably means there is an updated part which is fair enough. The numbers match and it says for ASV engine. These appear to go from "somewhere to the fuel filter" (feed and return) and there's a much longer set of fuel pipes 1J0 200 059 M which look like they might go to the fuel tank although its hard to tell.

I think its a safe bet the quoted part number is right.

Re: Part Number Please!!!

Yeah one black on clear on the ASV engine.

You tried a little bit of copper grease or similar if the air leak is on the side before the filter?

Re: Part Number Please!!!

Giving the dealer your chassis number and ordering the part will ensure you receive the correct part.

Re: Part Number Please!!!

Thanks Guys ,

Did the Vaseline treatment to it afew months ago which cured it, but it's starting again so might aswell bite the bullet & replace them properly!

Cheers for the info, just wanted to check as the guy on the phone said he wasn't sure if it was the right part!

Thanks again
