| Briskodian | Re circulate light Hello, last week i used the aircon for the first time and recided to use the recirculate facility to get the cabin colder quickly. After a few miles i noticed the light on the switch had gone out. My first thought was that maybe the system only re circulated for a while then turns off but I now know this is not so. there fore i need a bit of help. has some thing failed or has the bulb or whatever forms the illumination blown? If it has is it easy to get at it? The car is still under warranty by the way but i dont really want to cart it over to the dealer. Since its a push on push of i do not know if its recirculating or not as the push switch does not stop in its flush with the sircon switch what evet the setting. Ty in advance............PS Im not into taking dash bits appart but any advice more than welcome Bill |

| Re: Re circulate light You can hear the motor for the flap going (in by the vent on the side of the transmission tunnel in the passenger footwell), which might tell you whether it's working. The switch should latch in, though (just like the aircon one). It doesn't stay in if the air's set to windscreen though (I guess because it won't demist well on recirculate, but it just annoys me as I only use recirculate when something in front is pumping out loads of clag, and I want it to work whether it's on windscreen or not...). Turning the ventilation dial to windscreen makes the recirculate switch pop out if it was already on, too. If that's not it, but the switch isn't staying in, then I guess a trip to the dealer's might be the way forward... Last edited by AJB; 04-05-2006 at 13:20. |

| Briskodian | Re: Re circulate light Thanks a bunch AJB, just read your post and went out and took it off the windscreen setting, pressed the re circulate and the button lit up. Did not realise it didnt work when set to screen..............must get round to reading the instructions sometime Least it wont mean a trip tp the dealers! Thanks for your time Bill |
