Rust! Aaagh!

There's some rather nasty Alabama Chrome developing in my rear doors - where the window frame meets the door (the bar that seperates the main window from the smaller part) - anyone else have this problem? The car is only 7 years old.

Re: Rust! Aaagh!

You should see the rust on the tailgate of my 03 Octavia Estate under the lower glass seal and around the number plate light cover and I have seen the same problem on a number of Octavia estates.

I don't know about your problem eamon234, this link will be of interest to Crasher. It certainly got my car fixed.

Eamon234, it may be that you can get something done about your problem, but I haven't heard about rust on the doors before. Maybe others have?
Good luck to both of you.

Just had mine replaced under warranty ... they were just starting to spot and they were a little under 3 years old.
