| I now there is a load of stuff on here about this, but it is easier to just ask. My05 octy has done 17k and now the car tells me that in a thousand miles it needs a service is this correct. I personnally thought that the intervals were greater. thanks |

| You have an 05 Octavia 1.8T vRS? On variable servicing the service intervals can be anywhere between a minimum of 15,000 km and a maximum of 30,000 km, ie 9320 and 18641 miles depending on hnow you drive the car. You are doing well to achieve circa 18,000 miles. Beaten again... ![]()

Are you saying that the car works out when it needs a service depending on how you are driving the car? | |

well I have just been stung by some rather expensive skoda servicing (IMHO) Must be how they make their money, sell the cars cheaper than others in the VAG group, and then bump up the service prices! I had assumed that due to the great ratings on the customer satisfaction surveys that servicing was ok. Ah well, you live and learn!
