| Sump guard hanging down - advice please Hello folks. The car had a service just before Christmas and I noticed at the weekend that the tray is missing a screw or something as it is hanging down at the rear end. The dealers is a pain to get to and it will cost me £10 for a loan car from them, plus fuel to get there and back (about 40 miles round trip). Is it an easy DIY job to fix it back on and if so what do I need in terms of fixing screws? Cheers, Andrew. p.s. It's a Mk1 vRS. |

| Re: Sump guard hanging down - advice please Should be quite simple. I think the screws are N 907 750 01 Torx type.

| Re: Sump guard hanging down - advice please The leading edge clips loosely onto a piece of metal behind the bumper, then there are 4 screws (two on either side) which hold the rest of it up. I tend to take mine off by reaching under and feeling for the screws, so that shows how easy it is. I would agree with the part number Stu has given, you need 4 on the vRS. You could get away with any old self tapper of a similar size, even if it was just a temporary measure. |
