Default Warning light - any ideas

Hi, I have a 2003 Octavia 1.9tdi. The warning light ( looks like a coil) has appeared on the speedo. Does anyone have any ideas what it can be. Also the Vag-com tool, where is the best place to buy it. Cheers Gordon

Hi Mate
Easiest thing to check is the brake light switch.
Just check to see if the brake lights are working.
If not you need a new switch.
If they do then you may need to have a diagnostic check done on your car

If you want a suitable cable , I have one you can have for £17 delivered.
That will run with the free version of VAG-COM to read fault codes or you can buy the full version if you want to play with settings

The version you will need for other than a Ross-Tech branded interface can be downloaded from here. Alex can probably advise which version is most suitable.
