| Briskodian | Re: wheel alignment hi Thanks for that, I had a quick go but i've had to guesstimate because my alignment gear has packed up. I've made a massive improvement anyway. The next problem... I had to replace a shocker and ball joint at the front and (had to disconnect the abs sensor) and clean the rear brakes, in the process managed to pull the piston out of the rear brake cylinder, so had to bleed the brakes. I now have the abs light permanently on, does this need to be reset at a garage or will it go out when the problem is sourced and fixed? I presume the problem is either the sensor or air still in the system, although i did replace the piston immediately. Is there any way of testing the sensor? thanks again Ben |

| Re: wheel alignment Should go out on its own. Check the connections. Are the brakes OK? May need to be properly bled as you can get air in the ABS chambers. If you are happy that all is OK, try and get someone with VAG Com from here to reset the codes. They'll normally do it free or the price of a beer.

| Briskodian | Re: wheel alignment all sorted now. I was about to give up and take it to a garage when i blead the bleed nipple on the end of the master cyclinder, this was where the air was. A quick spin down the road and the abs light disapeared. Mot'ed for another year now. |
