wheel size

As i am new to the octavia vrs scene i was wondering (as i am currently looking for a mk1 octy) why do the estate vrs's have 16" wheels and not 17" ?

I have an estate and I was told it is something to do with it's load carrying capacity and no bracing in the boot. I have never had any problems driving on 16"

Some early vRS hatches were dupplied with 16s too.

I think the 16's being put on the estate is punishment for chooisng the uglier car....

if you like bigger wheels that,s no problem. up to 19 inch is possible.
i drive 18" OZ on my estate.

i drive past a vrs octy estate on my way to work everyday and he has the 17" spiders that i have on my hatch vRS.
