Where have my sidelights gone?

I noticed the other day that both of my sidelights have failed!

Is this just bad luck that both have failed at the same time, or is this a sign of something else?

Anyone out there with a similar experience?

I would think bad luck, check all your other bulbs though. My Focus with its Hella quad headlamp conversion used to eat sidelamp bulbs like no tomorrow.

I think bulbs often go around this time of year - they may not have been used much through the lighter months, and cold temps make the elements more brittle. I always seem to have brake and sidelights go as soon as winter draws in.
