| Re: Whining noise As included in the FAQs section of Skoda UK's website: Can I go to a non-Skoda retailer for servicing? You are of course free to choose where you have your vehicle serviced. However, we would always recommend that a Skoda Retailer is used as they receive full training in the servicing of Skoda vehicles and are kept up to date with technical information. Having a service completed at a non-franchised retailer will not in itself invalidate the warranty. However, should any difficulty arise that is deemed to be as a direct result of incorrect/incomplete servicing, any remedial work required would not be covered under your new vehicle warranty. Is the whining noise present at other times or only when cornering, and at what sort of speed?

| Re: Whining noise Could be wheel bearing but also quite possible is the bearing in the top of the strut, as I had that on mine. Keep an eye (ear) out for it though to see if it gets any worse, and I'd get it checked ![]()

| Re: Whining noise Drop links wont cause a whining, more of a knock. If you getting a whining/groaning from the front on right turns I would think there is an issue with the left front wheel bearing. |

| Re: Whining noise Found out yesterday that the noise was a build up of corossion on the disc so I need new discs and pad has anyone know of a site I could buy from I have a company here that have quoted me 91 quid for the lot |

| Briskodian | Re: Whining noise If it's £91 for two OE quality discs and a set of pads, with wear indicators, for the front, I would say thats a pretty reasonable price if inclusive of VAT.
