Is it completey broken? I smacked mine with my knee once and it flew off. Thought it was smashed, put pushed it back on and it clicked into place. Works fine ever since.

Mk4 Golf item looks the same to me. There are a few on eBay but make sure you get one which has the heater logo in the centre position.

eBay.co.uk: GOLF 4 BORA PASSAT BEETLE ELECTRIC MIRROR SWITCH GENUIN (item 160120357147 end time 02-Jun-07 23:11:22 BST)

Hmm trying to imagine what you would be doing in a car with your knee up there

Being 6'3" I've managed to knock mine off with my knee 3 times!!! It just seems to click back on though.

Part seems to be the exact same one as the Golf Mk IV. I had two Golfs and I'm 99% certain it'd just fit straight on no problem.

If it does light up red instead of green it might actually look pretty neat and tone in with the red needles on speedo.....??
