Wiring for retro fit heated seats

My understanding is that the heated seat wiring forms part of the main loom and can't be purchased seperately from a VAG dealer.

In the past aftermarket looms have been available for retrofitting on the Golf IV but these are currently unavailable and I don't even know if they will be compatible with the Octavia heated seat rheostats.

So what I'm after is a supplier for retrofit looms or a wiring diagram so I can make the looms myself.

Any help appreciated.

I have now have the switch and can get hold of the Golf wiring looms. Can anyone advise on the pin configuration on the back of the switch on the Octy? Even a photo showing the colour of the wires would be useful.

I think the spec changed at some point as a few people have said they were standard on the 4x4 elegance but I don't have them and neither does DaveH.

I thought they were standard on the 4x4 Elegance and an option on the 2WD Elegance.

I say that because my 2WD has none (51 plate) and they would be handy in the 4x4 for keeping the farmer warm after a late night hearding sheep.

............O.K. maybe thats not true, I've just re-read Colin's reply

They are standard on the FWD slx I think. Mine has the heated seats in the front and the full leather.
