Worrying Octavia Errors, Please help

Hi Folks, It's been a while since I posted here but I'm having a problem... I've a '02 Octy, 1.6 i (102hp) .

I'm getting a noise - Only when I'm moving and take my foot off Gas there's a constant kind of flapping/ticking noise - it is slower at low speeds and faster at higher speeds, I only happens when I'm moving and take foot off gas or put gear into neutral. Any Ideas please???!?!?!?!?

No-one has been able to give me a straight answer - One mechanic suggested I bring it for a diagnostic which has revealed these errors...

17254 - P1116 - 035: It's the B1 S1 lambda sensor.
17549 - P1141 - 035 (Load detection "implausable value"): Apparently I have a split Vac pipe
16486 - P0102 - 035 (low input): Apparently this is my Mass or Volume Air flow sensor

But this is the one I'm a bit worried about - 01314 - 013 (ECM - check DTC MEmory - sporadic) - Am I gonna need a new ECM ????

Any help here would be really appreciated, I've spent lots on this car in a Skoda dealarship and they haven't fixed anythin - it has been a real saga!!

You'll probably find that when you clear the other faults the 01314 will go as well.

Re: Worrying Octavia Errors, Please help

Thanks lads,

I'm not sure if they cleared it and it came back... but not the others. The lambda sensor issue was known about and my EMU light and Cooler light have been on my dash for a while. I also have very low MPG - about 30 miles.

I was told the Vac pipe would probably clear the air flow sensor problem.

Hopefully fixing these will clear the ECU error - I can't fork out 800 euro (500 pounds) for one especially if the noise I'm getting is the gearbox (quoted 750 pounds equivalent for re-con) as a few people have said.

The mech I have looking at it was sure there'd be a Speed sensor error??? as he thought that was causing the noise.
