Default 0-60 times

I know 0-60 sprints aren't that relevant in the real world but what do you reckon is the real life 0-60 time for the Vrs Tdi?

The brochure quotes a 0-62 time of 8.5 so i'm thinking the 0-60 is going to be about the 8 secs flat mark.

Autocar have timed the 2.0Tfsi 0-60 of 6.6 secs against a quoted 0-62 of 7.3 i think so it is actually quicker that the brochure figures.

Also, the Fabia Vrs does the 0-60 in about 8.2 to 8.5 if i remember correctly against the brochure figure of 0-62 of about 9.5.

So it seems that Skoda quotes 0-62 times that are perhaps slower than the reality, with that in mind does my guess of a 0-60 of 8 secs seem reasonable for the TDI?

Have any owners timed any runs at all?

I think they tend to do the 0-62 with some weight on board (to equivelent a few passengers) I don't know about the octy TDI , but the figures you say for the fabia is about right

I had a RICA tuned Fabia vRS that did a 6.6 0-60 [official timing]. A standard car is around 1-1.5 seconds behind.

Indeed they are: RICA. I used Chip Tuning in Bromsgrove. They did a fantastic job on the fabia as well as my current and previous cars. I had a custom job though which performed well on the track considering my lack of mods . PM for further info
