1.8TFSI Elegance

Has anyone yet come across any comparative performance figures (and any other good/bad comparisons) between the new 1.8TFSI and the present 2.0FSI hatches?

That seems dashed close to how quick the VRS is.

Re: 1.8TFSI Elegance

Those acceleration figures for the 1.8TFSi seem optimistic in my opinion. I can't see a gain of 10bhp and 30 ft lbs being sufficient to knock over a second off a 9 second 0-60 time. I would have thought 8.4 seconds or thereabouts would be closer to the mark?

Re: 1.8TFSI Elegance

have you looked at the curves?

the FSi has its peak torque of 200Nm from 3250-4250 where the 1.8TFSi has peak torque of 250Nm from 1500 - 5000rpm so the TFSi has a way larger power band.

And are the gear ratios the same? I expect various things can affect 0-60 times.

Re: 1.8TFSI Elegance - Auto ?

Skoda site doesn't show this as being available with DSG or Tiptronic. Is this correct ? Shame if no "auto" option. Looks like I might be going for a year-old Volvo S60 D5 Geartronic if not.

I think that's the case, although I just got my 1.8TSI Auto today, but I live in China, a lot of extras too.

Re: 1.8TFSI Elegance

It cost just over £12,000 for the top range model, but you can't factory order anything! China is not a cheap country for cars, they have about 70% import tax on cars and car parts, so my one is Chinese made.

True, but then again it would have ESP, or least it would be an option. There is no options list, just xeons, but it comes with a lot - sunroof, power-heated-leather seats, etc etc I'm going to post what it has and has not got that is different from the Irish one I had, when I find out.
