| Briskodian | Re: 170 bhp octy mk 2 Oh date... doh. I was told a local dealer had one coming in for demo end of August, with customer orders from week 31. Not sure how true this is mind, but was reading it off their computer system.

| Re: 170 bhp octy mk 2 The engine will be heavier so it will be neccessary to fit stronger springs and stiffer roll bars, obviously there will be many differences in the transmision/driveshafts etc too. Stiffer anti roll bars might work as an upgrade for the petrol version too! It's not as simple as just putting a diesel engine in instead of a petrol one. |

| Briskodian | Re: 170 bhp octy mk 2 I spoke with Skoda UK last week after difficulties in obtaining a test drive in an Octy 2.0 TDi Estate with 2 local dealers. Skoda still maintain this car will not come to the UK and they say any dealers who say otherwise are mistaken. I can understand a degree of caution before a new model is launched, but aren't Skoda UK being rather silly considering how easy it is to find information these days and also the fact that the car is already on sale elsewhere? |
