eBay.co.uk: ALLOY WHEELS & TYRES 18" SKODA OCTAVIA RS (item 150113765353 end time 25-Apr-07 21:00:00 BST)

Set of 18" Zenith alloys with good Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres (ex Octy vRS) ideal for an upgrade for a non vRS Octy or even if your vRS is on 17s.

Seller looks to be a pucker wheel/tyre dealer (check photos of his 'other items'); maybe he took them in on a p/x from a vRS owner upgrading to 19s?

Bidding up to £155 now; got to be a 'deal' still as new price for tyres alone will be c. £550.

Don't see the financial sense; any decent aftermarket 18" wheel and there are not that many available that will fit the Octy II (team dynamics pro-race, OZ Super Turisimo etc) will cost you £150 - £210 per wheel or try the dealer fit B14 style (18" x 8J) for £180.

£670 was not a bad price - rrp for four wheels 18" and tyres has got to be around £1,000+

Was anyone here bidding against each other.

Someone on here a few months back was selling theirs for less than that.

£450 is the cost to upgrade from 17" wheels. If you were to buy 4 18" zenniths from a dealer I expect they would be £1k+.

Re: 18" Alloy upgrade

I am the new owner of some 18" VRs wheels.

Guy who bought it originally for £670 apparently had a MK1. So he put them back on ebay

I collect them this weekend!

Can't see how you know it was a £240 hit; vimto2000 hasn't said what he paid for them; or were you watching the re-listed item on ebay?

Re: 18" Alloy upgrade

Well just over my original bid of £400. Paid £430...so not bad for an upgrade from 16's to 18's!

Looked on Skoda Accessories site and the 17's go for £183 per alloy with no tyre!

Thinks me did well

Sorry - me being thick too. I read your earlier comment as meaning the guy who bought them at £670 had had to sell them on at a loss!
Anyway a bit of a bargain for you which is the main thing.
