| Briskodian | I've been waiting for the service light to come on for a while but had forgotten that there's no actual 'light'. Had I not looked at the dashboard when starting my Octavia mark 2 vRS last night I would not have noticed the spanner symbol. I don't have my car user manual with me so I wonder if someone could confirm the meaning of the symbol. When I turn the ignition to start the electrics, I am shown '900 Spanner'. After a few seconds this then changes to '286 Spanner' with a clock symbol above it. Obviously I should book my car in for a servicing as soon as possible but what do the 900 (now 800) and 286 refer to? Is one of these the distance the car can travel before it needs servicing? |
